Jacob Thayer, M.D.

Jacob Thayer, MD, is a plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at Ascension Wisconsin. He delivers personalized care for each patient based on the patient’s goals and desires. Dr. Thayer graduated from Marquette University College of Nursing and went on to earn his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed an Integrated Plastic Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University Institute for Plastic Surgery and a fellowship in Hand Surgery from the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Thayer's practice includes all aspects of plastic surgery including breast reconstruction, aesthetic and hand surgery. His breast reconstruction practice  focuses on restoring patients’ sense of identity and self following cancer surgery. Dr. Thayer treats elective and traumatic hand conditions involving the hand, wrist and lower arm. Common hand problems treated include carpal and cubital tunnel, trigger finger, tendon injuries and tendonitis, arthritis, fractures, contractures and soft tissue injuries.
